Every page in Synthight is reachable from the same left sidebar. Here's what's in it, top to bottom.

The sidebar

At the very top, an organization switcher replaces a static logo — click it to switch between organizations you belong to, accept an invitation to a new one, or create one from scratch. See Switching between organizations.

Below that, the main navigation, in this order:

ItemWhere it goesWhat it's for
Home/homeYour default landing page — activity overview, trends, and recent items
Findings/findingsExtracted problems and requests
Topics/topicsConversations grouped by subject and sentiment
Customersexpands to People, Companies, ListsYour customer database
Researchexpands to Tests, Simulations, InterviewsProactive research tools
Reports/reportsAI-generated reports from any of the above
Workspaceexpands to Team, Model Tuning, Connections, Billing, SettingsOrganization-level configuration
Admin Panel/adminPlatform-staff only — hidden unless you're a Synthight platform admin

A thin divider separates Home from the rest, and another separates Reports from Workspace, so the sidebar reads as three groups: your daily work, research and reporting, then admin/configuration.

Click the thin rail on the sidebar's right edge to collapse it to icons-only, useful on smaller screens.

Below the main navigation is a Search box (or a search icon when the sidebar is collapsed) — click it or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) to open a command palette that searches across Reports, Tests, Simulations, Topics, Audiences, Findings, Lists, Companies, People and Interviews at once. Type at least 2 characters to see results.

Your account

At the bottom of the sidebar is your name, avatar, and email. Click the (three dots) on the right to open the account menu: Notifications, a dark/light theme toggle, Settings (your personal profile and preferences), and Log out.

The layout pattern

Most pages you'll visit — Findings, Topics, People, Companies — share the same shape: a header that shrinks as you scroll, a row of filter pills, a set of clickable analytics stat cards, and a table below. Every one of those tables also shares the same two controls in its top-right corner: a columns icon to reorder or hide columns, and a download icon to export to CSV. Once you've learned one page, you've largely learned them all.

Frequently asked questions

How do I search across Synthight instead of browsing each section?
Click the Search box (or its icon when the sidebar is collapsed) or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) to open a command palette that searches Reports, Tests, Simulations, Topics, Audiences, Findings, Lists, Companies, People, and Interviews at once.
Why do the Findings, Topics, People, and Companies pages all look the same?
They share one layout pattern — a shrinking header, filter pills, clickable stat cards, and a table with the same columns and download icons in the top-right corner — so once you learn one page, you've largely learned them all.
Where's the Admin Panel — I don't see it in my sidebar?
It's hidden unless you're a Synthight platform admin; it's not a role you can be granted at the organization level.
How do I collapse the sidebar to give myself more screen space?
Click the thin rail on the sidebar's right edge to collapse it to icons-only.
