From TopicsA ranked or hand-picked set of topics
From PeopleIndividual customers or a ranked churn/sentiment view
From CompaniesIndividual accounts or a ranked churn/sentiment view
From InterviewsOne completed interview
From SimulationOne completed Simulation

Every report type shares the same underlying structure once generated: KPI cards, charts, breakdown tables, and narrative sections, so once you've read one you can read them all.

Where the numbers come from

Every KPI, chart, and table in a report is computed first — the same way it's computed everywhere else in Synthight. The AI is only asked to write the narrative sections (executive summary, insights, recommendations) around those already-computed numbers; it's explicitly instructed not to invent or recalculate figures of its own. If you ever see a number in a report's prose, it traces back to a number shown in that same report's KPI cards or tables — not a separate AI guess.

Frequently asked questions

How many types of reports does Synthight support?
Six: Findings, Topics, People, Companies, Interviews, and Simulations. You can filter to any of them using the tabs across the top of the Reports page.
What's the difference between "From Findings" and "From Topics" when starting a new report?
From Findings builds a report from a ranked or hand-picked set of findings, while From Topics does the same with a set of topics. The other four sources (People, Companies, Interviews, Simulation) each pull from their own data instead.
Do all report types look different once generated?
No — every report type shares the same underlying structure once generated: KPI cards, charts, breakdown tables, and narrative sections. Once you've read one report you'll recognize the layout of any other.
Are the numbers in a report calculated by the AI?
No. Every KPI, chart, and table is computed first, the same way it's computed elsewhere in Synthight. The AI is only asked to write narrative sections around those already-computed numbers and is instructed not to invent or recalculate figures.
Where do I go to start building a new report?
Sidebar → Reports, then click New Report and pick a source — Findings, Topics, People, Companies, Interviews, or Simulation.
