Frequently asked questions
Which support channel is quickest to connect?
Zendesk and Intercom take about 5 minutes each since both use a straightforward OAuth flow. Freshdesk and Gorgias are also quick — just a few minutes with an API key.
Why does Freshchat take longer to set up than the others?
Freshchat needs an extra webhook configuration step so it can push new conversations to Synthight in real time, on top of the API token setup the other tools also need.
Do I need admin access to connect any of these tools?
It depends on the tool — Zendesk and Intercom require admin-level access to create their OAuth client or app, while Freshdesk, Freshchat, and Gorgias just need an API key or token you can generate from your account settings.
