What respondents see

  1. They fill in the Data Collection fields you configured (Name, Email, and any custom fields).
  2. A welcome screen explains what to expect: "You're about to start a voice interview." It covers three things — check your microphone and speakers since it's a spoken conversation, answer naturally as they would in person, and a privacy note that their voice is not recorded or used to train any AI models, only their responses are saved.
  3. If the interview is password-protected, they enter it here first.
  4. The live conversation begins — the interface shows Listening…, AI is speaking…, or Thinking… as the conversation progresses, with Question N of M to track progress.
  5. On finishing, they see a completion screen thanking them.
Note

Interviews require microphone access — respondents on a device without one, or who deny the permission prompt, won't be able to participate.

What happens after they finish

Synthight analyzes the response (shown as "Analyzing…" briefly) and extracts findings from it automatically. A response can end up Completed, Incomplete, Abandoned, or Unfinished depending on how far they got.
